ANNUAL SOCIETY MEETING

The SCS Annual Society Meeting was held on June 27, 2007. Board President Jeff Van Soelen called the meeting to order.The election of new School Board members was held with the following elected to a three-year term:
Mitch Barnett
Jamie Keen
Brenda Van Kooten

The election of new Bus Board members was held with the following elected to a three-year term:
Bruce Dunsbergen
Dale Van Maanen

Financial reports were read by representatives of the various committees and approved by the society.

The proposed 2007-2008 school budget was approved by the Society.

Mr. Krogstad thanked the Society for support and shared some of the changes taking place for SCS with the opening of Inspiration Daycare/Preschool.

Dale Van Wyk closed the meeting with prayer.

The School Board officers for the 2007-2008 school year are as follows:
President – Loren Fopma
Treasurer – John Howerzyl
Secretary – Linda Zylstra
Tuition Treasurer – Rick Jansen
Vicar – Mitch Barnett

BOARD HIGHLIGHTS July 2007

Education Committee
The board will be meeting at 6:45 for 5-6 months to view an orientation video.
An anti-harassment policy is being reviewed.
Registration will be held July 30 and August 6 from 6:00-8:00.

Building and Grounds Committee
A new security system was proposed and is being considered.
There was an update on the remodeling for the daycare/preschool project.

Finance Committee
A reminder letter will be sent to families with outstanding tuition balances.

Administrator’s Report
Mr. Krogstad shared items that will be taking place this school year.
He will be attending the CSI Convention in Spring Harbors, Michigan, July 24, 2007.

Other Business
The school now has flyers about the STO project.
The golf tournament was a success.
